San Martin de Los Andes This region, located in the south of the Province of Neuquén is surrounded by rivers and streams (fresh water) within a ratio of about 60 kms (37 miles).

What makes it particularly attractive because of it's environment diversity and the different possibilities this involves. From variable landscapes up to different shaped rivers or streams, where you may find Rainbow trouts, Marrones and Fontinalis.

In the beginning of the season (November/December) fishing is reduced to rivers and streams mouths which go in or come out from several lakes in the area. Normally from mid-December to late December begins the opportunity to fish in rivers and streams (fresh water), depending on the thawing and rains ending, that influence on water's volume.

Fishing season begins in November and ends in mid-April, being extended in some places up to late May. In Patagonia summer is a dry season, nevertheless some days may be cold or rainy. The biggest emergings start during late December and up to season's end what makes trouts rise and it's perfect to fish with dry fly.

Our service begins at Chapelco's Airport with transportation to the lodge and then daily transportation from the lodge to the fishing area including pic-nic and return.
